Former Enyimba International and Flying Eagles Coach, Paul Aigbogun has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to set in place a long-term camping, exposure to international training tours for Nigeria age-grade team before competing in international competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This according to him will help the team perform better and possibly return Nigeria back to winning CAF and FIFA organised competitions.

"There must be deliberate plans to camp players early and expose them to international training tours before competing in international competitions.

It will return Nigeria back to the days we win trophies in the U17 and U20 in Africa and in the world.

He however showered encomiums on the Flying Eagles despite being knocked out of the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in the quarter-final of the competition.

"I think getting to the semifinals is an achievement but one will hope they would have gone further. But the important thing is looking at which of these players will break through in a year or two."

Flying Eagles who arrived in Nigeria on Thursday afternoon were knocked out of the competition in the quarter-final by Korea Republic after beating the hosts and favourites, Argentina in the Round of 16.
