Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso said his target is to secure six points from three matches in the group B and progress to knockout stage, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.

Two times World Cup finalists, Flying Eagles are in group B with Dominican Republic, Italy and Argentina. While speaking with BSN Sports, the WAFU B champions coach said winning their first two group games against Dominican Republic and Italy is enough to take his boys to the next round.

He said, "I've seen the draws and digested it based on my own understanding.  The most important thing is to have a good start. If we are playing our first match against Dominican Republic, I think it is important for us to win that match convincingly.

He added, "If we can do so, I know we can equally beat Italy, because they are beatable as far as the level of my boys is concerned.

"Then if you have six points in two matches, we are already there." He told BSN Sports.

He added, "Another aspect is the harsher the beginning, the easier the end. I believe anyone that comes out of the Group is a potential finalist.

"And I beleieve if we are getting it right from our preparations, then there's no cause for alarm."

Bosso avoided commenting on Brazil until he was asked if he is afraid of the group opponents.

And he responded thus; "How can I be afraid of Brazil? If we can win our first two matches, then Brazil is beatable. Our target is to win the first two matches, then we go and brush it off with Brazil."

Nigeria will trade tackles with Dominican Republic in the group opener before taking on Italy and Brazil in their second and last group matches.
