FIFA U20 World Cup: Falconets Wallop Honey Badgers In Friendly

Nigeria U20 women's national team, the Falconets on Tuesday in Abuja walloped Honey Badgers 6-0 in a warm up game ahead of their FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Three goals in each half saw the African runners-up in the 2023 African Games overpowered the non-league team at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Head Coach, Christopher Danjuma deployed the whole players in camp to have a feel of the turf in executing the game, using the game to further scrutinize who among the team would be dropped.
The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, tagged Colombia 2024 takes place from 31 August to 22 September.
Spain are the defending champions after their success at Costa Rica 2022.
For the 2024 edition, the tournament will grow from 16 to 24 teams following the decision of the FIFA Council on 4 October to expand the number of participants.
The 24 participating teams will be divided into six groups of four. The top two teams in each group qualify for the round of 16, along with the four best third-placed teams. There will then be quarter finals, semi-finals, a match for third place and the final.
Nigeria is in Group D which consists of Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic.
