FIFA U20 World Cup: No More Friendly Game For Flying Eagles After Colombia

Official of the Nigeria U20 men national team has informed www.bsnsports.com.ng that there won't be any friendly match for the boys before taking on the Dominican Republic in their group D opener.

The official who spoke with BSN Sports from Argentina on condition of anonymity said the other friendly matches scheduled before the 21st May tie with Dominican Republic was called off so that the players would be fit for the important group match.

"We have decided not to play any other friendly match after Tuesday's international friendly match against Colombia U20 national team because our players need to relax their muscles and train with their focus on Dominican Republic." He told BSN Sports

He added, "You know it is more important to win the first match in a competition like the world cup than winning friendly matches."

The two times World Cup finalists, Flying Eagles are in group D with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil and will take on Dominican Republic on 21st May before slugging it out with Italy and Brazil.
