FIFA Women U-17 W/Cup Qualifier: Tanzania Shocks Cameroon, Joins Nigeria In India

Another surprising result was recorded in Africa again on Sunday in the 2022 U-17 Women World Cup qualifiers as Tanzania qualified for the competition ahead of heavyweights Cameroon, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

It was Morocco on Saturday who shocked Black Maidens of Ghana by beating them 4-2 on penalties after they came back from a two goals down to level 2-2.

Tanzania U-17 produced another shocking result on Sunday with a 1-0 win against Cameroon in Zanzibar.

The East Africans had against all odds won the first leg 4-0 in Yaounde and Sunday's result meant they secured the ticket to India on 5-1 aggregate.

Tanzania U-17 Women team are now the first team from East Africa that will play in the women's World Cup.
