FIFA has announced that clubs with players participating in the 2026 World Cup will receive $5,000 per day per player, starting from June 1, under the newly introduced FIFA Benefits Programme, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The initiative aims to financially reward clubs for their contribution to the global tournament, recognizing the pivotal role they play in developing talent for the world’s biggest stage in football.
This move is expected to provide a major boost for clubs worldwide, particularly those from smaller leagues, helping them manage the absence of their top players during the month-long event
