FIVB, CAVB to inspect volleyball facilities in Nigeria

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) are expected in Nigeria anytime soon to inspect volleyball facilities in Nigeria and assess the development of the game in the country.


The President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVF), Engr. Musa Nimrod, revealed this on Saturday in Abuja while speaking with reporters during the technical session of the federation.


According to Nimrod, the essence of the visit is because of massive development the bodies have seen Nigeria passing through in volleyball in the last four years. He said the two volleyball bodies are happy that Nigeria is truly back to where it belongs in world volleyball.


"The visit of the FIVB and the CAVB is because of the massive development they have seen about volleyball in Nigeria. They are happy that Nigeria is truly back to where it belongs in world volleyball. 


"They will be here in Nigeria for five days to check our facilities and the main purpose is to see the development of volleyball in Nigeria. They have given us a foreign technical and tactical coach who was one-time volleyball coach of Cameroon by name Peter. He is a renowned coach, a French and will be coming by the grace of God, 15th July, 2022," Nimrod who is also the 

Secretary General of Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 3 said. 


He also said the latest floormat of volleyball anywhere in the world has been given to the Nigeria Volleyball Federation by the FIVB and has already been shipped in to Nigeria and cleared from the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
