Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) President Fouzi Lekjaa has officially joined the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), with the political party confirming his membership, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Lekjaa made his first public appearance as a PAM member during the party's 32nd National Council session held in Salé, bringing an end to speculation surrounding his political future.

His move into active politics has sparked fresh questions about his future at the helm of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

However, no official announcement has been made regarding whether he will continue as FRMF president.

Lekjaa has been a prominent figure in Moroccan and African football administration, serving as FRMF president while also holding senior positions within the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA.
