Nigeria U20 Women's national team have crashed out of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup following a 2-0 defeat to Netherlands in the quarterfinal of the championship at the 60' at Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto in Alajuela, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Having raised the hopes of Africans and Nigerians in particular with great performance at the group stage with maximum nine points in three group matches, the Christopher Danjuma led girls failed to proceed to the semifinal with shock defeat to Netherlands.

Zera Hilswit had in 12th minute gave the Dutch the early lead before Ziva Henry doubled the scoreline in the 33rd minute.

Netherlands turned their fortune around after beating the United States of America Women national team in the group stage before handing another defeat to Ghana. 

 Despite losing two nil, Falconets were still pushing hard to find a consolation goal as Flourish makes superb run into the area but her weak effort couldn't hurt the Netherlands keeper

Falconets had a penalty turned down after the Center referee failed to be convinced with replay showing Netherlands defender's arm touched the ball inside the 18-yard box.
