Falconets Thump Togo In WAFU B Women's Tourney

It was a double joy for Nigerian football fans on Wednesday with both Flying Eagles and Falconets getting positive results in their respective games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Flying Eagles defeated Italy 2-0 in the ongoing U20 FIFA World Cup in Argentina at almost the same time Falconets thrashed Togo 6-0 in the ongoing Women's WAFU B championship in Kumasi, Ghana.

Sebastian Flourish and Amina Bello netted a brace before Esther Onyenezide and Esther Ajakaiye made it a comprehensive 6-0 win for Nigeria.

After the back-to-back wins against Niger and Togo, the Falconets have qualified for the semi-final of the tournament despite still having to play Burkina Faso on Sunday.
