Fenerbahçe Lose Patience With Atalanta For Lookman

Ibrahim Lateef

Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe are growing increasingly frustrated with Atalanta over Ademola Lookman, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

They may walk away from the negotiation table if progress isn't made soon.

Recent discussions between the two clubs concluded on a negative note, primarily due to Atalanta's failure to provide the necessary bank guarantees.

However, Fenerbahçe is determined to revive the talks. Atletico Madrid continues to loom as a potential rival in the situation.

Italian football journalist Di Marzio reports, "Talks between Fenerbahçe and Atalanta for Lookman have stalled, and there seems to be little scope for further negotiations."

Fenerbahçe has submitted a strong offer of €35m upfront plus €5m in bonuses. The expectation is clear: unless Atlético offers €40m, Fenerbahçe is poised to advance in this pursuit.

It's important to note that Atalanta already rejected Atlético Madrid’s initial bid for Lookman and is looking for a more compelling offer to engage in further discussions.

Atlético, for their part, has officially proposed around €25m, which could rise to €30m including bonuses.
