A fight reportedly broke out in the Burkina Faso national team camp at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following an alleged breach of team regulations involving captain Bertrand Traoré, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reports, Traoré was involved in a heated altercation with the Stallions’ physical trainer after he allegedly brought a woman into the team’s hotel, an action said to be against the squad’s internal rules during the tournament.

The disagreement is believed to have escalated into a physical confrontation before teammates and officials intervened to restore calm in the camp.

Neither the Burkina Faso Football Federation nor the team’s management has issued an official statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report.

It remains unclear whether disciplinary measures will be taken against the player or if the matter has been resolved internally.

Burkina Faso are facing Cup holder Cote d' ivoire for a place in the quarter final stages of AFCON 2025, and the incident is expected to raise concerns about discipline and focus within the camp ahead of their next fixture.
