Finidi: Our Eyes Is On 2023 AFCON Trophy In Ivory Coast

After winning it as a player, former Nigeria Super Eagles winger Finidi George is already eyeing the trophy again in Ivory Coast as a coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Finidi who is now working with Jose Peseiro as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles won the cup with the team in 1994 playing an active role in Tunisia.

While speaking to a reporter in Uyo ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, former Real Betis winger they are going to Ivory Coast with a winning mindset.

"Every country wants to win the AFCON before the AFCON but when you get there it all depends on how you start the tournament.

"If you start well the confidence builds up, that will take you even further so we aim to win it, but you never know what can happen.

"We'll go there with the mindset to win it. The first mission for the AFCON is to win it", he stated.
