First Bundesliga Goal Excites Super Eagles Invitee

Newly invited Super Eagles midfielder Nathan Tella on Sunday scored his first Bundesliga goal to send warning signals to Lesotho and Zimbabwe, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Tella who joined German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, is the new face in the Super Eagles team invited for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier this week 

Leverkusen recorded their 16th win of the season on Sunday with a 4-0 win over Union Berlin and it was the Nigerian star who netted the 4th goal in the game.

Tella was brought into the game in the 81st minute and he was able to register his name on the scorer's sheet 2 minutes later.

" I'm just happy right now, my first Bundesliga goal and then the win.

We have a lot of chances today, it could have been even higher", he said.

The skillful midfielder who helped Burnley back into the Premier League is likely to make his debut for Nigeria this week.
