Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, produced a commanding performance in Abuja, defeating Generation Next 6–0 in a preparatory friendly match as they intensify camp activities under head coach Akeem Busari, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flamingos wasted no time asserting their dominance, opening the scoring in the first minute through Shavih Istifanus. Tobiloba Sarafa doubled the advantage in the 10th minute and added her second in the 23rd minute to give the hosts firm control of proceedings.

Harmony Chidi extended the lead in the 28th minute, before Aminat Adebisi made it five just before halftime, ensuring the Flamingos went into the break with a comprehensive 4–0 advantage in the shortened 60-minute fixture.

The second half resumed with continued attacking intent, as Precious Paul found the net in the 46th minute to complete the scoring. However, the match was brought to an early end in the 54th minute due to heavy rainfall.

The fixture forms part of the team’s ongoing preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, where Nigeria will face Guinea. The Flamingos are scheduled to take on Nazareth Queens in their next friendly encounter as they fine-tune strategies ahead of the crucial qualifiers.
