Flamingos Hit Seven As Guinea Qualifier Preparations Intensify

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, delivered another dominant display on Friday with a comprehensive 7-0 victory over Solo Wonder Babes as preparations continue for their upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea, BSNSports.com.ng reports, 

The Flamingos produced an attacking masterclass, taking control of the encounter early and heading into halftime with a comfortable 3-0 advantage.

Mary Dunstan opened the scoring in the 35th minute before adding her second goal six minutes later to put the Nigerian side firmly in command. Queen Joseph extended the lead in the 42nd minute to complete an impressive first-half performance.

The team maintained their intensity after the restart, with Patra converting a penalty in the 53rd minute before Ebube added a fifth goal barely a minute later.

Wuraola Olayiwola got on the scoresheet in the 77th minute, while Mmesoma rounded off the emphatic victory with a late strike in the 86th minute.

The convincing result serves as another confidence booster for the Flamingos as they intensify preparations for their crucial World Cup qualifying fixture against Guinea.

Meanwhile, the team is scheduled to depart for Ikenne on Sunday, May 10, 2026, as preparations enter the next phase ahead of the international assignment.
