Flamingos Record Fifth Win in Six Matches Ahead of FIFA U17 Qualifier

Nigeria’s U17 women’s team, the Flamingos, continued their impressive preparations for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea with a commanding 5-0 victory over Lakeside Queens FA in a friendly encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Flamingos delivered another dominant display under Head Coach Akeem Busari, extending their strong run of form ahead of the crucial qualifier scheduled for May 23.
Kemi Adekemi opened the scoring in the 16th minute after connecting with a pass from Queen Joseph to give the Nigerian side an early advantage.
Mary Dunstan doubled the lead in the 36th minute as the Flamingos maintained control of proceedings heading into halftime.
The second half saw the team raise the intensity further, with Harmony Chidi making it 3-0 in the 51st minute from an assist by Rodiat.
Just three minutes later, Sefiat Idris added the fourth goal following a setup by Precious Oscar, before Ebube completed the rout in the 67th minute from a corner delivered by Idris.
The result continues an impressive run for the Flamingos during their preparatory campaign. In six friendly matches, the team has recorded five wins and one draw, scoring 28 goals while conceding only twice.
The performances underline the team’s growing confidence and sharpness as they intensify preparations for the decisive World Cup qualifying fixture against Guinea later this month.
