Flamingos Set To Depart For Benin Clash In U-17 Women's World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria's U-17 Women's national team, the Flamingos, will depart for Lomé, Togo, on Thursday ahead of the decisive second leg of their FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup African qualifying fixture against Benin Republic, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flamingos take a narrow advantage into the return leg after edging their Beninese counterparts 3-2 in the first leg played in Ikenne, Ogun State, last weekend.

A team official confirmed the travel itinerary, revealing that the squad will leave their training camp in Ikenne at 4:30 a.m. for Lagos, where they will board a 9:00 a.m. flight to Lomé. The match is scheduled for Saturday, 11 July 2026.

The winner on aggregate over the two legs will secure a place at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2026.

The official added that further updates on the team's journey and arrival will be communicated as they become available.
