Nigeria's U-17 women's national team, the Flamingos, will continue their preparations for the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers with a friendly match against Royaltoms Queens on Tuesday (today), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The warm-up fixture forms part of Head Coach Hakeem Busari's plans to fine-tune his squad ahead of the crucial two-legged qualifying tie against Benin Republic's Young Amazons, with a place at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco at stake.

The Flamingos have enjoyed an impressive qualifying campaign so far. Busari's side advanced to the final round after recording a dominant 11-0 aggregate victory over Guinea, winning 5-0 away from home before completing the job with a 6-0 triumph in the return leg.

Nigeria have also maintained strong form in their preparatory matches, including a convincing 3-0 victory over Dream Star Ladies as the team continues to build fitness and cohesion ahead of the decisive encounters.

Benin Republic secured their place in the final qualifying round after overcoming Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate. The Young Amazons claimed a 3-0 victory in the first leg before sealing qualification with a 2-1 win away from home.

The first leg between Nigeria and Benin Republic is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne. The return fixture is expected to take place during the second week of July at Stade de Kégué in Benin Republic.

With qualification for the World Cup on the line, the Flamingos will be aiming to use Tuesday's friendly against Royaltoms Queens to sharpen their preparations and maintain momentum ahead of one of their most important matches of the campaign.
