Flying Eagles Resume Training in Cairo Ahead of U20 AFCON Clash With Tunisia

Cairo, Egypt – Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, held an intensive training session on Wednesday evening at the Jewel Sports City training facility in Cairo, as preparations continue ahead of their upcoming AFCON fixture against Tunisia.
The session, which began at 6:00 PM local time (5:00 PM Nigerian time), lasted 90 minutes and placed strong emphasis on tactical drills and team coordination. Coaches focused on refining game strategies and enhancing cohesion among players following the team’s pre-tournament friendly against Egypt’s U-20 side, the Young Pharaohs.
All 24 players in camp took part actively in the training, showing high levels of energy and focus.
The Flying Eagles are set to return to the pitch for another training session on Thursday evening, as they intensify preparations for their key match against Tunisia scheduled for May 1st.
In the 2025 CAF age grade tournament, 13 African nations will fight for four FIFA U20 World Cup ticekts and eventual winners lifting the trophy. Nigeria is the most successful team with seven titles in the cabinet.
