Flying Eagles Send Warning Signals To Morocco, Others After Thrashing Opponents In Friendly

Flying Eagles on Tuesday in a warm up game thrashed Mop Star FC 9-1 in a friendly game at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja.

The Nigeria U20 team scored five goals in the first half without giving the opponents the opportunity to score just one.

The Aliyu Zubair tutored side came into the second half with another set of eleven players who recorded four goals with a spirited efforts from Mop Star FC scoring a goal to end the match 9-1. 

The Flying Eagles will fly out of the country on Sunday to Egypt for the 2025 CAF U20 African Nations Cup. In a fresh draw conducted by CAF on Sunday, the six-time winners of the competition are housed in Group B alongside Tunisia, Kenya and Morocco. The under-age championship starts April 27 and ends 18th May, 2025.

All semifinalists at the competition will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.
