Flying Eagles World Cup List To Be Submitted 10th April

The World football governing body, FIFA has given 10th April as deadline date for submission of 50-man U20 World Cup provisional list for all the participating countries which include Nigeria.

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso is expected to name the final squad from the 50-man list 

Following not-too-impressive performance at the 2023 CAF U20 African Nations Cup in Egypt, in order to fortify the Nigeria U20 team, it is expected that a bigger number of overseas-based players are drafted into the provisional list.

However, the coach may have headache in having pool of players from these foreign clubs as they are not are not obliged by FIFA to release their players for the competition.

The Flying Eagles qualified for the World Cup when they edged Uganda 1-0 in the quarterfinal of the U20 AFCON in Egypt.

They will represent Africa along with Senegal, Gambia and Tunisia at the tournament in Indonesia in May.

On Friday, the seven times African champions will take on Tunisia in the losers’ final of this year’s U20 AFCON.
