Flying Eagles goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu Dedicates WAFU B Trophy To Petr Cech

Flying Eagles and Water FC goalkeeper, Nathaniel Nwosu has dedicated the WAFU B U20 trophy to his role model, Petr Cech.

The Chelsea FC legend Friday's birthday fell on the day Nigeria U20 team, Flying Eagles thrashed Young Squirrels of Benin Republic 3-1 in the final of the 2022 WAFU B championship.

In a short video after the victory in the tournament, the Water FC goalkeeper said he dedicated the trophy to his role model, Petr Cech.

"Happy birthday Petr Cech and I am happy that you are celebrating your birthday on a day I won a trophy with Nigeria Flying Eagles. I am dedicating the trophy to you."

The Ladan Bosso led Flying Eagles on Friday won the trophy for the first time for Nigeria since its inception in 2018.

Nigeria and Benin Republic (both finalists) have picked the two WAFU B tickets to represent West Africa at the CAF U20 African Nations Cup coming up in Egypt in 2023.
