Flying Eagles set to face hosts Niger in warm-up matches

The Flying Eagles are set to play two warm-up matches against U20 AFCON qualifiers hosts Niger as part of their build-up for the WAFU Competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


Officials disclosed that the first match is Scheduled for April 30th, while the second will be played on May 1st.


Both games are billed to take place in Niamey.


The Flying Eagles will depart Abuja on Thursday for Niger Republic.


The qualifying tournament, which will produce two teams for the U20 AFCON in Egypt early next year, will kick off on May 7.


Niger are in Group A along with Cote d’Ivoire, Togo and Benin Republic, while Nigeria are pitched against defending champions Ghana and Burkina Faso.


The tournament ends May 20.
