The third term ambition of NFF President Amaju Pinnick has suffered another knock at the weekend, when some Northern Caucus of the Federation who gathered in Kano decided not to support the ambition of the President.

The NFF President had in April said he would not recontest for the position again. But, his body language recently is however suggesting otherwise, as the former Delta State FA Chairman has been busy making overtures on his return to the position.

The Northern caucus is vowing to return the NFF Presidency to the North despite occupying the position from 1993 to 2014.

The Stakeholders we gathered were all totally opposed to Pinnick continuing as NFF President. The group however resolved to support only a Northern candidates for the position. They vowed to resist any attempt by the incumbent NFF President to perpetuates himself in office.

The group agreed on the possibility of having a consensus candidate from the North, as the days draws nearer and things became clearer.
