Former Besiktas Boss Names Osimhen Turkish Super Lig Player Of The Season

Ex-Besiktas head coach, Sergen Yalçın, has hailed Victor Osimhen as the Turkish Super Lig Player of the Season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Yalçın praised the Nigerian striker’s standout performances during his loan spell at Galatasaray, stating that Osimhen fully deserves the prestigious individual honour.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, played a crucial role in the club’s successful campaign, helping them secure both the league title and the domestic cup.

The 26-year-old forward delivered an outstanding season, scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.

Speaking to Habersarikirmizi, Yalçın said: “I think the player of the season is Osimhen. It’s hard to pick players from other teams. If we were to build a best XI, at least six or seven would be from Galatasaray. You probably wouldn’t even pick a right back or left back from another team.”
