Former Nigeria U-20 winger, Nnamdi Oforboh, has expressed his delight at returning to competitive football after being sidelined for over a year due to a heart condition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The skilful winger, who was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, recently signed for English League Two side Barnet following his full recovery.
Speaking about his comeback, Oforboh said: "I do whatever job needs to be done whether it’s defensive work or getting into the box. Whatever works for the team, I’m willing to do it. I believe I’m technically strong and capable of controlling the tempo of a game.
"I also bring leadership and communication, which are vital, especially in big matches. I had a long time out, but thanks to God, I’m back playing. Every time I get the opportunity to step on the pitch, that’s all I want to do."
Oforboh’s return marks a significant milestone in his career after a challenging spell away from the game.
