Former Super Eagles Star Greg Etafia Joins Young Africans As Goalkeeper Trainer

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Greg Etafia has been appointed as the new goalkeeper trainer of Tanzanian Premier League champions Young Africans SC, BSN sports .com.ng reports.

Etafia joins the club as a member of the technical crew put together by newly appointed head coach Manqoba Mngqithi ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The former Nigeria international will work alongside an experienced South African backroom staff that includes ex-Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi, coach Simo Dladla, and football analyst Yardaan Valodia.

The appointment marks another milestone in Etafia's coaching career after a successful playing spell that saw him represent Nigeria at the international level.

Young Africans, one of Tanzania's most successful clubs, will be hoping Etafia's experience will further strengthen their goalkeeping department as they prepare for the upcoming domestic league campaign and continental competitions.
