Fortress FC Off To Flying Start in 2023 NWFL Nationwide

The 2023 Nigeria Women's Football League reached MatchDay 3, as Fortress International FC kicked off to a flying start with 3 wins from 3 games BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The campaign started two days ago with the Fortress Queens of Benin defeating Castmog Ladies 4 goals to 1 to send warning signals to their Group B counterparts.

Going on to win the second game against Chosen Generation in a five-goal thriller further established their status in MatchDay 2, before conquering Unification FC by a slim 1-0 scoreline on MatchDay 3.

The results see Fortress Queens maintain the top spot in Group B with 9 points gained, scoring 8 goals, while conceding 3, to sum a +5 goal difference tally.

The games are domiciled at the UNIBEN Stadium in Benin City, Edo State, with five more matches to played before the Super Six round.
