Four Clubs Earn Promotion to NWFL Championship After Abuja Qualifiers

Four clubs have secured promotion to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Championship following a competitive qualifying tournament held in Abuja from October 10 to 17, 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Rangers Women FC, C2E Sports Academy, Rosaria Victrix, and Solo Wonders emerged from the NWFL Nationwide League as the top performers, each earning a coveted spot in Nigeria’s second-tier women’s football division.
Rangers Women FC clinched promotion with a decisive 1-0 win over Plateau Queens on the final day of competition, sealing their first-ever appearance in the Championship.
C2E Sports Academy also advanced on the final day, overcoming Osklean with a 2-0 victory. The team’s disciplined performances throughout the series underscored their readiness for the next level.
Solo Wonders delivered the tournament’s most dominant display, routing Sporting Angels 8-0 in a commanding final match that highlighted their attacking prowess and intent.
Rosaria Victrix secured qualification despite a goalless draw against Alexander Queens, finishing atop their group on points. Their consistent form throughout the group stage ensured safe passage to the Championship.
Of the four promoted clubs, three – Rangers Women FC, Solo Wonders, and Rosaria Victrix – will be making their debuts in the NWFL Championship. They will join C2E Sports Academy in the upcoming season to compete among the nation’s elite second-division women’s football clubs.
The promotion marks a significant milestone for all four teams and reflects the growing competitiveness and depth in women’s football across Nigeria.
