It was a dream injury comeback for Nigerian-eligible forward George Ilenikhena, as he inspired AS Monaco to a resounding 7-1 victory over Moses Simon's FC Nantes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ilenikhena, who had been sidelined for an extended period due to injury, made a memorable return on Saturday evening.

The visitors initially took the lead in the 4th minute when Matthias found the net, courtesy of an assist from Simon.

However, Monaco responded emphatically, turning the game on its head.

Biereth stole the spotlight with a hat-trick, while Minamino and Segir also got on the scoresheet, giving the hosts a commanding 5-1 lead by the 64th minute.

Ilenikhena was introduced later in the game, and he wasted no time making an impact.

The dynamic forward netted twice within 10 minutes, sealing an emphatic 7-1 triumph for Monaco.
