French Ligue 2 side Girondin Bordeaux continued its impressive performance as they push for a return to the elite division, BSNSports.com.ng report.

They maintained their 2nd position on the log on Friday evening after they played out a 1-1 draw against Amiens SC at home.

It was Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Josh Maja that scored their only goal from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute before George Ilekhena equalised for the away side in the 93rd minute.

The draw ensured that Bordeaux stayed in the second position with 33 points.
