The manager of the French Ligue One side OGC Nice, Francesco Farioli, has expressed his excitement over the omission of striker, Terem Moffi, from the Super Eagles list, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Moffi was surprisingly dropped from the final list of players that will represent the country in the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Farioli revealed the frustration of Moffi about the omission but he was happy that the lanky striker will be available for selection during winter.
"I have two different feelings about Moffi's omission from the AFCON.
On one hand, regrets because Moffi cared a lot about representing his country, his family and his friends.
But on the other hand, he's our best recruit of January and we are happy that he is with us.
" He trained with a very positive mindset with the desire to do well and put himself at the disposal of the team. We see him as very focused and determined.
The disappointment is gone and he is focused on the next game", he said.
