French Open Junior C/ship: Nigerian Youngster Cruise Into Second Round

Nigeria’s Oluwaseun Ogunsakin has advanced to the second round of the qualifying series at the French Open Junior Championships after an impressive straight-set victory over France’s Lenny Couturier at Roland Garros, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 17-year-old Nigerian talent delivered a composed performance to defeat Couturier 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round on Thursday.

Ogunsakin dominated the first set with aggressive baseline play before maintaining his momentum in the second set to seal the win and continue his campaign in Paris.

The victory marks another important milestone for the young Nigerian, who is aiming to secure a place in the main draw of the prestigious junior tournament.
