Friendly: Bassey Propels Fulham To Victory Against Hoffenheim

Newly signed Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey was the star of the game in Fulham's 2-1 win over Hoffenheim in a warm-up game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After completing his move last weekend from Ajax Amsterdam, the Nigeria international made his debut in Fulham's 0-2 loss to Chelsea in a friendly match.

After both sides failed to break the deadlock in the first half, Mexico international Raul Jimenez gave Fulham the lead before Grisha Promel equalized for the German side.

Bassey netted the winning goal for the Cottagers in the 73rd minute before he was replaced in the 83rd minute of the game.

The Nigeria youngster received a standing ovation from the Fulham fans for his stellar performance in the encounter.
