Fulham Retain Iwobi, Bassey and Nwoko as 14 Players Depart Ahead of New Season

Fulham have confirmed the departure of 14 players following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season as the Premier League club begins preparations for the upcoming campaign.

The London side announced the squad changes in an official update, with former Mexico international Raúl Jiménez among the most prominent names set to leave Craven Cottage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Jiménez departs after a three-year spell at Fulham, during which he scored 31 goals in 115 appearances across all competitions. The striker is one of several players released as the club reshapes its squad ahead of the new season.

In contrast, Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey remain part of Fulham’s plans, while young forward Chibby Nwoko has been offered a new contract.

In a statement, Fulham expressed gratitude to the departing players for their contributions to the club.

"We would like to thank every player for their service and efforts during their time at Fulham and wish them the best of luck during the next chapters of their careers," the club said.

The full list of departing players includes Steven Benda, Devan Tanton, Bradley De Jesus, Ollie Gofford, Charlie Robinson, Joseph Walters, Tom Wingate, Callum Cliff, Marcell Hall, Ruban Khan, Oliver Mayer, Harley Platel and Quinn Schutter.

Fulham also confirmed that Charlie Robinson has retired from professional football and will remain with the club to begin a coaching career at Motspur Park.

"For Charlie Robinson, that journey will continue at Motspur Park where he will begin his coaching career, following his retirement from playing," the statement added.

Alongside the departures, Fulham have taken steps to secure the futures of several players by offering new contracts.

Wales international Harry Wilson heads the list of players offered fresh terms, alongside Samuel Amissah, Jonathan Esenga, Michael Allen, Chibby Nwoko, Tom Olyott, Jayden Quashie and Olly Sanderson.

The club has also exercised contract extension options for Luke Harris, Farhaan Ali Wahid, Terrell Works and Marco Underwood.

Wilson enjoyed a productive 2025/26 campaign, contributing 11 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions despite recent speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Transition Period for Fulham

The squad overhaul comes during a significant period of transition for Fulham following the departure of head coach Marco Silva, whose five-year tenure at the club has come to an end.

The Premier League side is expected to begin the search for a new manager as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.
