Fulham Welcomes Calvin Bassey On Four-Year Deal

Fulham have officially unveiled their new €22.5 million signing - Calvin Bassey Ughelumba on a four-year deal from Ajax Amsterdam, BSNSport.com.ng breaks.
The 144-year-old London-based club announced the signing of the Nigerian left-back from the Dutch Eredivisie after brokering a deal to get Calvin's services for the 2023-24 English Premier League Season.
Bassey is a product of Leicester City's youth system but failed to make a senior appearance for the club before joining Rangers on a free transfer in July 2020.
He made 65 appearances over two seasons for Rangers and won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup, also reaching the final of the Europa League in 2022.
In July of that year, he signed for Dutch club Ajax, with Rangers receiving the highest transfer fee in their history (€23 million) before finishing third on the Eredivisie table for 2022-23.
At 7:00 pm Nigerian time, Fulham Football Club welcomed Calvin Bassey to the London Original stadium.
"Welcome to Fulham, @CalvinBassey," the post wrote on their official page.
In reaction, Calvin embraced their welcome while stating it was not difficult to choose his destination.
“I know how big of a club Fulham is. They always have quality players, they’re playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I didn’t have to think much about it," he said.
