Future Eagles End Japan Tourney Without Win

The Nigerian U-16 team, also known as Future Eagles ended their run at the Invitational Tournament in Japan without a win, in all three group games played BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Future Eagles led by Haruna Ilerika took an 18-man squad to the Dream Cup Tournament which went down at the J-Village Stadium in Fukushima, Japan, and played group games against the Netherlands, the United States of America, and host nation Japan. 

The team lost 1-0 to the Netherlands in their opening fixture, before also losing 6-1, and 2-1 to Japan and USA respectively, summing up 2 goals scored and 9 conceded in the 3 games played while sitting in

4th position. 

A journey that saw the lads go through Abuja - Ethiopia - South Korea, and eventually Japan, before gaining accommodation at the Fukushima J-Village Sports Center, ended early with Ilerika and his boys leaving to fight another day. 

Alatan Azuka got Nigeria's only goal against the hosts Japan, while Udoh Solomon of N Youth Football Academy, scored the goal against the USA team. Muhammed Faramoyo of Beyond Limits Youth Club was the team's captain.
