Future Eagles Wallop Ajaokuta Football Academy

Future Eagles of Nigeria defeated Ajaokuta Football Academy of Kogi state, 7-1 in a friendly game played at the Area 3 football pitch in Abuja on Sunday.

It was the first preparatory game for the Haruna Ilerika-led boys as they kicked off the second phase of their camping ahead of the Dream Cup tournament which is expected to start on the 31st of May in Japan.

The Future Eagles were in red - hot form right from the first half as the team raced to a 3-0 lead within a quarter of an hour.

Manie Ebrima set the ball rolling in the 5th minute, Azuka Alanta scored 3 minutes later and Manie Ebrima completed his brace before half time.

Immediately after the start of the second half, Future Eagles increased the tempo of the game with scintillating performances and that resulted in a barrage of goals from Buhari Usman and another brace from Edward Ochigbo before Alex John scored from close range to complete the demolition of Ajaokuta Football Academy. 

The visitors however scored a consolation goal towards the end of the game.

The Future Eagles will continue their daily training from 6:am to 9:am while the evening training is scheduled for 4:pm to 6:pm.

With less than 8 days until the departure of the team to Japan, there are a number of friendly games listed for the lads to put them in a competitive mood.
