The race to become the next head coach of the Gabon national team has intensified, with an overwhelming response from aspiring candidates across the football world , BSNSports.com.ng reports.
No fewer than 605 applications have reportedly been submitted for the vacant Panthers’ head coach position, highlighting the growing interest in leading one of Central Africa’s most prominent national teams.
Sources confirm that the Gabonese Football Federation has constituted a special selection committee tasked with reviewing all applications and conducting a thorough evaluation process.
The committee will shortlist qualified candidates and identify the most suitable coach to guide the Panthers into a new era.
The appointment is seen as a strategic decision for Gabon’s football future, with expectations high for a coach capable of rebuilding the team, developing local talents, and restoring the country’s competitiveness on the continental stage.
