Gabon Shortlists Three Candidates For Head Coach Role

The Gabonese Football Federation has unveiled a three-man shortlist for the vacant head coach position of the Panthers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The federation confirmed that it received a total of 605 applications for the national team job.
After a comprehensive review process, which included an initial screening and individual interviews with selected candidates, three finalists have emerged.
The profiles of the shortlisted coaches will now be forwarded to the Minister of Sports, Paul Kessany, for final consideration.
The three candidates still in contention are Régis Boagert, former assistant to Aliou Cissé with Senegal; Frédéric Bompard, who recently managed Nîmes and Sochaux; and Anthony Da Silva, who served as assistant coach of Cameroon between 2019 and 2022.
