Gabriel Ezema Named U17 Assistant Coach

Former Inter Lagos coach, Gabriel Ezema has been named assistant coach of the Nigeria U17 national team ahead of the WAFU B U17 Tournament scheduled for September in Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ezema, who led Inter Lagos to the 2023/2024 Nigeria National league (NNL) playoffs had previously worked with Rangers International as an assistant coach.

The CAF C badged coach expressed excitement after securing the appointment to assist Manu Garba, as Head Coach of the U17 Boys National Team, Golden Eaglets.

He said: "It’s a pleasure to announce that i have been appointed assistant coach of the U17 Nigeria National Team in preparation for WAFU B u17 tournament slated for September in Nigeria. Looking forward to the experience."

As part of their build-up to next month’s WAFU B U-17 tournament in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the Golden Eaglets have been embarking on series of friendlies matches.
