Galatasaray Coach Reveals Fear Whenever Osimhen Travels For International Duty

Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has admitted that the club always feels uneasy whenever their star striker, Victor Osimhen, travels to Nigeria for international duty, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to Buruk, the Turkish side worries not only about the rigours of African football but also about potential travel mishaps.
“We always get scared when Osimhen goes to the national team, not just because something might happen to his plane,” Buruk said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
“The matches are tough, the pitches are poor, and every time we release him, we worry for his safety and fitness. Honestly, we’re always anxious.”
Osimhen recently returned to Turkey nursing an injury he picked up during Nigeria’s clash with Rwanda, which caused him to miss several important games for Galatasaray.
Buruk also revealed that the club was alarmed after hearing reports of a plane incident involving the Nigerian team following their win over Lesotho.
“We were a bit scared when we heard about the plane problem, but thankfully it wasn’t serious. He will play the second match and then return safely,” the coach added.
The Nigerian forward has endured a tough international window—suffering injury against Rwanda and narrowly avoiding a major air mishap on his way back from Lesotho.
