Game Changer Unity Cup Promotes Unity in Apo, Says Eze

The Chairman of the Abuja Automobile Spare Parts Dealers Association, Onyeka Eze, has described the successful conclusion of the maiden Game Changer Unity Cup as a significant achievement in promoting unity and community engagement in Apo, Abuja.

Eze, who spoke after the final match of the tournament, expressed gratitude to God, the organisers, participating teams and supporters for the successful completion of the competition.

“Today is the final match of the Game Changer Unity Cup. This is the end of the tournament, and we thank God that everything was successful,” he said.

He said the tournament was organised not only to promote grassroots football but also to foster unity among residents of Apo.

“This football is to unite Apo. We have been battling in this tournament for more than two months, but we made it to the end today, and everybody is happy. The whole Apo is happy,” Eze said.

The chairman acknowledged the contributions of residents and other stakeholders, particularly those who supported the tournament through their presence, prayers and financial assistance.

He said the positive atmosphere generated by the competition had made the efforts and resources committed to organising it worthwhile.

Eze further expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the tournament, saying their support had demonstrated the importance of collective efforts in promoting grassroots sports and community development.

The inaugural Game Changer Unity Cup featured 16 teams and lasted for more than two months, with the final played at the Stadium of Light, Covenant Garden Estate, Apo Dutse, Abuja.

The competition ended with Mgbuka FC of Apo defeating Tyre Plaza FC 1–0 to emerge the inaugural champions, while NATA FC finished in third place.
