Games Village VC Face Offa Volleyball Club In 12th Abuja Invitational Final

Games Village Volleyball Club defeated Scorpion Spikers 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-12) in the first semifinal of the 2023 Abuja Invitational Volleyball Challenge at the Volleyball Court, Package B, Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja to set up a final match with Offa Volleyball Club.

In the second semifinal between Defense Spikers and Offa Volleyball Club, Offa VC edged Defense Spikers 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 27-25, 28-26) to book the final ticket.

The final of the 12th edition will hold at the Indoor Sports Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja at 2pm.

Vice captain of Games Village, Emeka Chukwu while speaking with BSN Sports admitted that the semifinal match remained the toughest and hopeful of lifting the title when they face Offa Volleyball Club in the final on Thursday.

"We have really trained for this, our minds and eyes are set on the trophy. "It was not rossy getting to this stage but we won't relent until we lay on our hands on the trophy." He said.

50 Clubs; 25 female and 25 male teams registered for the 12th edition of the grassroots competition which began on Sunday 12th March, 2023 and ends tomorrow, Thursday..
