The profile of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi continued to soar in Germany as scored again in a Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt, BSNsports.com.ng understand.

Frankfurt who was still basking in their euphoria of their Europa League semi-final qualification at the expense of Barcelona was brought down to earth in Berlin with a 2-0 defeat.

It was Nigeria forward who continued to underlined his importance to the team that netted the opening goal in the 17th minute with a cool finish.

Promel doubled Berlin's lead 3 minutes later as the host continued to dominate the game.

The second half resumed with Awoniyo posing a constant threat to the backline of Frankfurt.

He subbed off in the 80th minute but Berlin's stood their ground to secure a maximum point in the encounter.

Awoniyi has now netted 13th league goals for the club this season.
