German Bundesliga: Boniface Clinches Another Award

Despite being on international break, Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface is still making headlines in the German Bundesliga, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Since arriving in Germany from Belgium the young striker has been consistent in his performance and also scoring regularly for Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface was on Friday announced the Bundesliga Rookie Player of the Month for September.

The 22-year-old beat his competitors, including RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons and Hoffenheim’s forward Maximilian Beier to seize the honour.

This makes it the second consecutive time Boniface will win this award this season, having won it in August.
