After two month break, action resumed in the second stanza of the German Bundesliga and it was a double blow for TSG Hoffenheim, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Hoffenheim played away to Union Berlin and suffered a 3-1 defeat while they also lost their key defender Kevin Akpoguma to injury.

The game started with the away side controlling the proceedings but Akpoguma was replaced in the 42nd minute for injury as Hoffenheim opened the scoring in the 44th through Bebou.

Doekhi equalized for Berlin in the 73rd minute before completing his brace in the 90th minute.

Lewelling sealed the point for the host in the 96th minute as Hoffenheim suffered defeat
