Gernot Rohr Shortlisted For Eagles Job

Former Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is on the verge of securing another managerial appointment in no distant future, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.



The Franco-german gaffer was relieved of his appointment as the manager of the Super Eagles in late 2021 despite qualifying the country for the 2021 African Cup of Nations and playoff rounds of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.


According to an update coming from Mali, Rohr is among the 5 coaches being shortlisted for the vacant position of Eagles of Mali.


He was listed alongside Eric Sekou Chelle, Julien Mette, Patrice Canterion and former Mali U20 coach Mamatou Kane.


During his spell as the coach of Nigeri, Rohr played 64 matches, won 35, drew 16 and lost 13, he attended two major tournaments Russia 2018 World Cup and the 2019 African Cup of Nations where he finished in 3rd position.
