Ghana FA Denies Poor Traveling Arrangement For Black Stars
Sampson Adedeji
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed reports suggesting that the Black Stars were subjected to poor travel arrangements ahead of their recent international friendly matches in Germany, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Ghana) described the circulating claims of players being offered business class tickets as “false and misleading,” insisting that the team’s travel logistics met acceptable standards.
The clarification comes amid growing criticism following Ghana’s heavy 5-1 defeat to Austria in an international friendly encounter.
The result sparked speculation about possible off-field issues, including alleged dissatisfaction among players over travel conditions.
However, the authorities maintained that there were no irregularities in the arrangements and urged the public to disregard unverified reports.
The Black Stars are expected to regroup as they continue preparations for upcoming international assignments, with the focus now shifting to improving performances on the pitch after the disappointing outing against Austria.
